Transgenic Facility

This image shows the world's largest transgenic facility/ virus-free barrier at Taconic Farms.

Each bioBubble^® Clean Room:

- is positive pressure with dimensions of 12'x18' and 100+ air changes per hour of HEPA filtration, and with its own airlock.

- has a capacity of 4,000 to 5,000 mice. Taconic's expansion plans utilize bioBubble^® Clean Room Technology.

- has three bioBubble^® Power Units which provide HEPA filtered air inside. They also provide HEPA filtration to the hard room with approximately 50 each additional air changes per hour.
